Does anybody have any advice as to the easiest way to go from San Pedro to see the whale sharks at Gladden Spit east of
Placencia in April or May?

Easiest would be to fly to Placencia. Not the cheapest.

Better book it fast. The slots fill up!

The dive tours mostly leave from Placencia. Look on the Seahorse Dive Shop website for dates.

3 days before and up to 10 days after the full moon. March may not be as productive this yr as it falls too early in the month, so target April and May, although June could be fine too.

+1 for SeaHorse and Brian Young. I went three years running and saw Sharks each time. One of my lifetime top 10 events swimming with a fish the size of a bus right next to me.
