Is finding a roommate or room in a house to rent a viable option in San Pedro? Having a difficult time finding affordable housing.

You may find it hard to get anything "affordable...if you plan to live there!! Have you done your "homework" my friend?? I saw in earlier posts that you were moving???

I think that most of the stuff on the web about Belize lodging is geared towards tourists. Most of the properties are beach front and priced as such. I think that you have to dig a little deeper to find the non-beach front properties and thus the more affordable stuff.

Maybe somebody can recommend a contact for you in Belize that can find these less avertised deals...

I don't think Jennifer is going to have ANY problem finding a roomie in San Pedro....

Jennifer, Have you tried Caye Management on the Island? If not, it's worth at least asking if they have anything...

Thanks. Yes, I have done my homework and have tried Caye Management etc. I guess when I use the word "affordable"...that is to be taken with a grain of salt considering its AC! I just want more affordable than what I have been finding!! I also like the company of living with others...just curious.

How much are you willing to spend for your room. I have a two bedroom at Paradise villas. I'm looking for a roommate. I get back on the 20th of Sept. It's on the beach with pool. Close to Hustler tours and the Dockside Bar & grill.

This is just an idea, maybe someone at St Matthews Medical School could help. The students all need long term rentals.
