APPETIZERS is the theme!
Mojito Bar is once again the host for SAGA Humane Societies monthly cook-off.
Deona and her staff will be serving a special 'Meow-jito' for $5.00BZ. And of course,
there will be Ruff-n-Rum's, Barkarita's and more fun drinks to choose from! Please be
sure to come out and support San Pedro's Humane Society. A fun evening for the whole family!

To enter a dish, please call the clinic at 226-3266, or contact any Saga representative. Your dish needs to serve a minimum of 65 bite size or sample size servings. Registration is not required, but encouraged. Please bring your entry by 6:00 p.m. on the night of the event. Food serving starts approximately 6:20pm. Tickets sell fast!
Saga Humane Society needs your support to operate the Shelter. Without
fundraising & your generous donations, Saga would not be able to care for the
homeless, sick and/or abused animals of San Pedro Town.

SAGA Humane Society would like to give a big Thank You to Mojito Bar and Deona and her staff for hosting our monthly cook-off, 'Appetizers' on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. We had special guests for the night - a group of (14) professionals from World Vets who were here providing the community with a 3-day, free spay & neuter clinic. Everyone was treated to fabulous entries by some of Ambergris Cayes best restaurants and home chefs.

Winners were: 1st place was won by The Hotel with their 'Potato Skins'. There was a Tie for 2nd Place between our hosts Deona Pilgrim of Mojito Bar with their 'Garnaches' and Kate Corrigan of Crave Restaurant with their 'Fish Cakes'. It was tough judging for all those attending.

We would also like to thank our other entries for their wonderful dishes:

Mojitos hosts SAGA's "Appetizer" Cook Off

Mojito's Bar was the venue for the SAGA Humane Society's monthly cook-off, on Wednesday, March 14th. On the menu�appetizers! Individuals and businesses joined force for yet another very successful SAGA fundraiser.

Dishes included: scotch eggs by Mesa Caf�; vegetarian Mediterranean quinoa by Cindy Ayala; ham and cheese roll-ups by Gail Pencoff; fish pate by Joanne Frei and crab puffs by Nancy Scott. Sharon Metcalfe created her Asian Explosion - honey garlic drumettes and pork stuffed chicken wings with gyoza sauce. Pineapples Restaurant entered their stuffed wonton with sweet and sour sauce while Letti Hernandez entered chipotle chicken salad and Laura Sutton entered her cream cheese sandwich among others.

Special guests for the night were a group of fourteen professionals from World Vets who were here providing the community with a three-day, free spay and neuter clinic. All present were treated to marvelous entries by some of Ambergris Caye's best restaurants and home chefs. At the end of the night, after the votes were cast, the winners were as follows: first place was won by The Hotel with their 'Potato Skins'. There was a tie for second place between Deona Pilgrim of Mojito Bar with her 'Garnaches' and Kate Corrigan of Crave Restaurant with her 'Fish Cakes'.
