Please send POC information of your attendees by email to [email protected] no later than 5 April 2012, 4:00 PM CST. Include Name, Passport Number, Date of Birth, and a Contact Phone Number. Limit will be 2 attendees per company due to size limitation of Coast Guard water vessel. If you must take more than 2 attendees to the site visit, it will be at your own expense.

Information Concerning Work Permits or Licenses for Belize: The Belize Labor Office has indicated that since it's a Government related project, a letter of recommendation must be presented from the Belize Coast Guard Base Commander. This letter of recommendation will speed up the process of obtaining a work permit which can typically take 2 to 3 weeks, reducing the process to 1 to 2 days. Work permits can be obtained from any Labor Office throughout Belize and must be done on a walk-in basis. More information on how to obtain the letter of recommendation will be given at the site-visit.

That is a coast guard owned/operated caye, Belize's first nationally owned and managed marine research facility. There are numerous facilities on Calabash Caye including a separate University of Belize Marine Research Station, in addition to the Coast Guard Forwarding Station AND others.
