Information Concerning Work Permits or Licenses for Belize: The Belize Labor Office has indicated that since it's a Government related project, a letter of recommendation must be presented from the Belize Coast Guard Base Commander. This letter of recommendation will speed up the process of obtaining a work permit which can typically take 2 to 3 weeks, reducing the process to 1 to 2 days. Work permits can be obtained from any Labor Office throughout Belize and must be done on a walk-in basis. More information on how to obtain the letter of recommendation will be given at the site-visit. SOURCE
