I have not been back to my living the dream island in 4 months was sailing across the ocean on a 60 day cruise from lax to Asia across the Pacific .
Yes a tough business I have chosen LOL.
Any way are these places still open and doing real business ?

Pinocchio's I liked this place they had wood burning oven
and thin crust pizza and great pasta ? A very nice guy but he looked stressed last trip??

And how about sunset grill loved to watch them feed the fish and food was good ,then they changed the cook
and new owner took over and added service charge and gst to the bill after it was priced out on the menu I Was told not allowed as all food was to included gst in there pricing
and I do not like a service charge added I think very tacky.the staff was unhappy you see it in there faces.they new I would not be back. I am a big boy and tip well JMHO.
Anyway never went back is it still open .??.Last trip I went by no one was there ? on a sat nightat 7 pm ??

love Pinnochios, wonderful steaks and pasta dishes, great wine list at fare prices. Since I live on Caye Caulker so its been like 5 months since I have been there. I heard rumours they were going under. To bad, not the best location.

If Sunset Grill lost their chef that was a big mistake!
The rumor I heard - way back when - the owner of the property wanted to take over the restaurant and give his children work.
He had all but shut down access to the restaurant when he built his big building in front of it basically eliminating parking.
Kevin (the one who set it all up) had to arrange a plank walkway to get across the construction site. Even with that obstacle business was good - BECAUSE the food was good.
I knew Kevin was in trouble and lost the place. However, to then loose the chef - bad business.

I have not been there since Kevin left so do not know first hand how service or food was.

I believe they have a different sign now from when it was Sunset Grill. Seems like it just says "Sunset Restaurant" now. We had a good dinner there in 2010 but have not been back since.

I was there when the new owner took over 4 months ago A gringo with a dream LOL.Nice location to watch the fish big tarpon
Then He changed the prices and added service charge[ TO THE BILL AT THE END ] Plus GST. ????????I THINK IT IS ALWAYS TO BE THE PRICE SHOWN ON THE MENU?? IN THERE PRICING ??????
.PLUS the food was just ok staff was
upset You could see there faces .Not a good feeling ,They said they where losing all there local customers? .when I asked to speak to the manager or owner they laughed and said he was was not there much .A sure fire way to go bust in this town LOL. NOT WATCHING YOUR BUSINESS ! Lots of great places to eat And who do not look to fool people or be cute and slick.
The others have wonderful food and good happy service ,you can enjoy the meal time after time. WHY GO BACK TO THIS PLACE .I hope his dream does not turn into a nightmare I wonder if he still owns the place .
