Advertorials such as this one are often a hand-wash-hand exercise with publisher and advertisers.
If you buy X number of $$ of ads, you get XY - for instance, a "free and unbiased" article in the magazine, usually running in the same edition as your advert. I've been offered this sort of deal by Islands Magazine and others .....

AK is the postal reference for Alaska. Other than that I don't have any idea what SW is talking about.

Thanks for the explanation Diane.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

we were out at Sanctuary back in December (we were visiting a nearby farm with a friend) and I could see no visible signs of anyone building anything out there. Now, the place is large, so maybe it was where I couldn't see. The distance that Sanctuary is from anything else lends itself to being a relatively isolated living style, so maybe that is what people like that want. It would just be such a pain to drive down that long long road and all the way somewhere like Placencia to shop. Although there are a couple Chinese stores in Santa Cruz and that is closer.
That said, no, I have no desire to have a house in a place like that. We already have a house in Maya Beach.

the article is a PR piece generated by Sanctuary Bay, picked up in syndication.

Isn't Sanctuary BAY a different development from Sanctuary Belize? That was my understanding. I know that Sanctuary Bay had some serious legal problems back in 2007 -- is this the same place? Or maybe they dropped the "Bay" so it wouldn't be associated with the earlier troubles?

No matter what, it's a PR piece for sure.
