Spray pumps for use by milpa farmers were recently presented to leaders of ten Toledo villages.

"The spray pumps costing $1,130.00 were contributed by the Toledo Rice, Beans and Corn Producers Association and were handed over to ten village leaders during a brief ceremony at the Bliss Multi Purpose Building in Punta Gorda by Chairman of the Toledo Rice, Beans and Corn Association Dennis Usher and Punta Gorda Mayor Antony Fuentes who was guest speaker. The first amount of ten spray pumps were handed over to village leaders from Toledo rural communities of Otaxha, Corazon, Mabilha, Santa Teresa, Aguacate, Sunday Wood, Conejo, Santa Anna, Golden Stream and Santa Cruz."
