“30 new scout and 24 new cub members were introduced to the Corozal community this morning. Members along with parents and relatives convened at the Corozal Methodist Church where the guest of honor was the Governor General of Belize Sir Colville Young. In speaking with the scouts’ leader, Luis Hernandez he told us he has noticed this new scout unit is dedicated and hard working. In his remarks the governor general addressed the new scouts and cubs about the importance of becoming active and responsible citizens of Belize. The new unit has a total of nine leaders. Hernandez told us that at the moment there is a lot of request by children who want to join the new unit. Hernandez told us that they are open to accept new recruits.”
