Just returned from our 4th trip in 3 years. Still love the island as much as our first visit. I will have some pictures and a trip report later in the week.

For now, here is a video from our ride starting at the Crystal water distributor to just North of the bridge. Video is a little over 11 minutes and is the music is from Barrington and The Islanders.

I honestly had no idea Ramons had that many signs!

Enjoy

Me too! Don't often see it that quiet though, not much traffic: foot, bike or vehicles. Yes, do wonder how much business Ramon's actually gets from all those signs. wink

WOW! A lot has changed since I've been there last (2009). Holy golf carts on Front St... even at the 8AM hour or thereabouts when you shot this vid. I remember taking morning walks on Front St. in the morning hours and never seeing golf carts parked and lined up like that. Saw a few new buildings I didn't recognize... and yes, the Ramone's signs.... ubiquitous.

There has been a lot of change! The video was actually taken on a Friday evening about 5 pm. Looks like the bars on front street were getting a lot of business.

If the camera was mounted to the golf cart, how was everything so steady and not jerky...........if you know what I'm trying to say.

I have no explanation for you. This is the second time we have had it mounted to a cart and both came out pretty well. There is some shake in the camera just not to noticeable. If you pause it a few seconds in and look at the shadow of the cart as it goes around the corner, you can see it mounted to the front.

The GoPro cameras have no image stabilization so I'm not really sure how it maintains the quality. All I know is it works... lol

I looked into GoPro cameras........very reasonably priced for what appears to be a quality video. What resolution were you shooting in?

The GoPro is awesome. I use a Hero2 snorkeling/spearfishing. Amazing underwater quality once you put a flat lens on it.
