I did not mean to minimize anyone's airline horrors by saying you should just grin and bear it. When I told the woman at the counter I did not have my hotel's phone number so they could call and tell them I'd be a day late, she had the nerve to roll her eyes at me--even though I was standing there with tears running down my face!
Some of them are just insensitive, disgruntled, miserable employees! Some do have sympathy for your disheartening and stressful experiences. Good luck with your "compensation". Yes, a return ticket to paradise does take the sting out of it a bit, for sure!!
