Pray...

and maybe you could start a fundraiser or a memorial fund...

Dear Tiny Mayan,

I'm smiling because you are concerned and are offering your help as we did for you during Hurricane Keith. "Do unto others..." comes to mind. Thank you for your concern. It is deeply appreciated.

Are the Belizean Red Cross and salvation army accepting donations for this event?
Or do i donate directly to the organizations in the U.S.?

Gela...you're very welcome.

I don't think there is anything more any of us can do. I mean, I'm just one guy in a big country, I can't speak for anyone but myself, really, but I think everything that can be done is being done.

This is a good thing. We have good people. NYFD and the rest can handle anything that comes, including this.

I know that in OKC there was a surplus of emergency workers, equipment, everything. Especially after the first few hours.

Of course, that is not to discourage anyone from contributing to the Red Cross or start a memorial fund or such. Now or ever.

I just think you should rest easy knowing that the rescue operations in NYC lack for little if anything.

But it matters that you care. I think. It matters, I feel very much, the outpouring of support, moral and emotional support, that the US is receiving from it's friends.

There is a high probability that in the not too distant futue, the United States will do something. We will collect a debt.

When we collect this debt, it will most likely be something terrible to behold. People will be hurt, some of them may be innocent. I suppose you could forgive us for what we must do.

I was there the day after OKC. I had a show at the Rodeo Hall of Fame. A rescue worker could not pay for a meal in any restaurant in OKC. No motel would charge these heros. I saw the carnage first hand. I can't imagine WTC. I just hope our president has the courage to think it through and not react to public anger. Retribution ....YES! Killing of more innocent civilians....NO! The racism happening in the US against Islam is sickening. Bowing to the level of the perpertraitors hate. We will get even, but hopefully not by carpet bombing, or indiscriminate attacks like we were subject to.

Oh, jezz, I was thinking, like, a stray Tommahawk or something. Carpet bombing isnt, just can't be, an option. There's just no way.

Besides, they are so close to the stone age now in Afaghanistan that bombing them back to it could be done with a couple of World War II bombers on a Sunday afternoon.

I'm sure we'll find a way to bring these people to justice without wholesale slaughter. I'm sure we'll try very hard to avoid huring the innocent.

I'm stuggling with a question here. This is all so disturbing and confusing. I can't seem to sort out my feelings just now. I trust most of you on this board to help me with some insight here..... My question.
Are you still "innocent" if you participated in the parardes and celebrations in the Middle Eastern cities and towns? If you were handing out candy and sang with joy over this disaster? If you handed out flags and balloons and danced in the streets? Are you still "innocent" if you teach your children to hate and kill simply because some insane, monster told you to???? Somebody please help me here.... I'm really stuggling with this...
Debbie
