I don't think there is anything more any of us can do. I mean, I'm just one guy in a big country, I can't speak for anyone but myself, really, but I think everything that can be done is being done.
This is a good thing. We have good people. NYFD and the rest can handle anything that comes, including this.
I know that in OKC there was a surplus of emergency workers, equipment, everything. Especially after the first few hours.
Of course, that is not to discourage anyone from contributing to the Red Cross or start a memorial fund or such. Now or ever.
I just think you should rest easy knowing that the rescue operations in NYC lack for little if anything.
But it matters that you care. I think. It matters, I feel very much, the outpouring of support, moral and emotional support, that the US is receiving from it's friends.
There is a high probability that in the not too distant futue, the United States will do something. We will collect a debt.
When we collect this debt, it will most likely be something terrible to behold. People will be hurt, some of them may be innocent. I suppose you could forgive us for what we must do.
