Are there any All Inclusive hotels on Ambergris Caye?? My wife and I were on AC about 7 years ago, we stayed at the Blue Tang Inn. Is Cocaine (Big Dog) still around? We loved it on AC, any place that uses the number of Bilicans as a distance from one place to another is my kind of place.

Not in the way you would think of as an all inclusive like you would find in Jamaica or Mexico. There are places where breakfast is included and they can arrange your tours and you pay one time. There are none that include all you can eat food and drinks.

Hope that helps.

Of course there is Cayo Espanto, on a small private island on the back side of Ambergris. It only runs about US$1500 to $2300 a day, plus hotel tax and 15% service, all-inclusive.

A few of the resorts on Ambergris will do semi-all inclusive packages, with meals and transport included. But as noted there's really nothing on the island similar to the all-inclusives in Jamaica or Mexico, which offer lodging, meals, booze and activities for a relatively low flat rate.

With all the great restaurants, bars and activities in San Pedro, it's easy to understand why Ambergris Caye isn't an all-inclusive type of destination.

Azul - the villas at Rojo Lounge - is all inclusive. Includes all food, drinks, booze (not tours). It's about 4 miles north of town.

Blue Reef Resort has a meal thing with the room you can opt for. It is a beautiful place, great food, but 8 miles from town.
