If any of you good folk will be on AC for the weekend of the 6th/7th October then be sure to stop by the SAGA Annual Fundraiser being held at the Royal Palm Villas.

As many of you know SAGA does some great work with the stray and homeless animals down here and this fundraiser will help with this and put money towards the animal shelter they want to build.

The event is from 1 to 6pm on both days, there is a live band, BBQ, competitions, and a great auction with donations of trips to Lamanai & Altun Ha, parasailing, diving, hotel stays, meals out, local works of art,etc etc. There is also a children's art competition on the Saturday and a dog show on the Sunday with prizes for "Prettiest Bitch" and "Scruffiest Mutt" to mention a couple.

Hope you can stop by and support this great cause.

Do you know if they will have any raffles? Like a drawing out of a hat type thing??

If so I would gladly purchase several tickets since we will not be on the Island at that time.

I think most of the items will be auctioned but we have a meeting this Thursday and I will suggest an raffle/internet auction item that people could bid for on the board. Thanks for the idea.
