Came in again last week. Purchased 5 bottles, was put in a box, thru customs, then Tropic taped it shut with the words fragile on it. It was then put in the baggage compartment. Arrived safe and sound as always.

Just got in today. Purchased 2 bottles at Duty Free. "Checked " them in at Tropic, and picked them up at the plane stairs as I was boarding. Carried them with me ON the plane.NOT in my luggage.

Same way it always is for me, going back to 2010.

Funny how everyone has a different outcome?

5 x 750ml < 4000ml? or maybe it was just one of those days at customs...

Packing tip: post customs check through, if not in box just keep the bottles from glass to glass contact and another layer between them and the outer surface of the suitcase or carryonand it's pretty hard to bust 'em. Packed em this way for years nary a problem. Glass to glass...its a mess.

I was just there 2 weeks ago and at the duty free shop at the airport in Belize (incoming traffic only!) you purchase 4 Liters (total) or 6 bottles of whatever (usually wine) @ 750 ml. They did require that my purchase be placed in my checked bags on Tropic (not allowed through the scanners), so a little re-arrangement, but all in all a great deal smile

Where exactly do you purchase the duty free, is there one in the luggage pick up area or is it in the tropic counter area?
I know there's a couple in the area after you go thru security.

Thanks Jerry
