I've been noticing the Lagoon has been rising for the last three or four weeks. Its covering the road in low places but hasn't rained. Today it seems more dramatic. I told myself it was seasonal tides but checked the charts and its not, in fact its been running a stream across the road toward the beach all day and the tide is going out??
TIDES: High - 7:44 AM Low - 2:38 PM
That means it should be running the other way??
Something different is going on with the lagoons water level I haven't see before.
Any thoughts?

It's a sign. We're getting closer to Dec. 23, 2012.

Gentle readers - please, can we not crack wise on this particular topic?
It is a serious question and I hope we check it out, because it's not a good trend.
I was on the road today and watched the water actually "flowing" from the back lagoon area across to land on eastern side of the road that is normally dry.
Some homes are now islands in lakes, and I saw at least one house that appears to have a couple of inches of water in it. Not healthy, not safe, and not a familiar phenomenon.

Water is very high down on the south end as well and moving over the road.
I've noticed the tides have been much higher than normal.

The municipal airstrip closed today because of water being over the runway, I called to verify this and they confirmed it but assumed an unusual high tide.

I does this every year at this time it seems. Oct. seems to be worse. It will get higher as the new moon approaches (16th)

BelizeontheBeach, yes every year but thats 'Spring' every year and this is Fall.
Do you know where to find a chart?
Municipal having the problem makes me relieved a bit. That seems to indicate its not a problem with the lagoon drainage being changed.
