Inspector of Police Fitzroy Yearwood - as the Police Press Officer, he's become a fixture of the evening news - especially when prime time meets crime time. But, he's moving on - or being moved on.
In an email sent at 3:15 am this morning Yearwood - who has held the post since February of 2010, announced his departure saying quote, "the time has now come for me to move on."
Ministry Spokesperson Raphael Martinez will step into replace him - and the change is effective immediately - which is rather abrupt and suggests that all may not have gone down smoothly.
Inspector Yearwood now takes up the post as Officer Commanding at the Caribbean Shores and Belama police station.
