Coming for the winter season and absolutely love the shrimp! Is Bowen selling yet, if not, where can I buy some?

Tropicbuy....Diane is correct that Greenhouse usually has shrimps, Lobster, Surimi, crab claws and lots of other meats.....However, I use a gentlemen by the name of Mario....He's kind of the local Schwann Man....He covers from South Ambergris all the way to Coco Beach and delivers.....Just 2 days ago I purchased a few pounds of shrimp, Conch and Lobster tail......He gets the best from the Mainland Fisheries COOP......Feel free to send me a PM for the contact information and he can add you to his route.....

My friends call me Judyann

Do not buy shrimp from the FISH MAN - he sells around Castillos. While he often does have nice fish, the shrimp were rank (he swore to me they were fresh)! Taken me a while to even think about eating shrimp.....

I too have had trouble with the fish man in the past.

There are a couple of guys selling fish. "fishman johnson" who sells from a bike is a crook and a thief. Mario who sells from a golf cart is reliable so far.

I've dealt with Fish Johnson for years with no problems on his honesty or fish. He may be dodgy but hasn't shown those colours to me.

It's one thing to out a man as selling bad shrimp, as all businesses live or die on their service and product and reputation. However I do think if you are going to attack and out people in public naming and shaming them as a crook and a thief - from behind a cloak of anonymity I might add - basically trying to destroy them and their living, it should have a basis.

Fishman Johnson is a thief and caught red handed with my camera. I got it back (all pictures erased of course) The cell phones he stole at the same time were off the island as well as his accomplice (son)

Fair enough, that's a basis. What was the scenario?

I ask because he often cooks for people and offers his service as part of his fish sales at times to Tourists in their accommodation. He has done so for many of our guests over the years, without a problem, but I do keep him on a tight leash so perhaps he's a little cautious with me - being 6'4" and two hundred pounds helps too perhaps.

I let Johnson use one of my boats to go after conch in trade for part of the catch. He always welched and cried that he needed to sell some for the money. Then he steals from my neighbors. He is no longer welcome.
