Barnes and Noble finally sent me my copy of "Adapter Kit -- Belize" by Lan Sluder. I don't have time to sit down and read it right now but I skimmed through it, and its chock-full of useful information. Anybody who is thinking of buying property in Belize, moving to Belize, retiring in Belize, going into business in Belize must get this book.
I randomly opened a page and found a piece of info that's well worth the price of the book: "Buyers should be aware that some beachfront lots have mangroves, not sand, on the waterside, and a permit is required to cut mangroves." It looks like this book is full of gems like this....

P.S. I should add that some of Marty Casado's photos are in this book.

Hi Lan: Is that Adapter Kit available in Belize and if so, where? Thanks: Bill

Not yet -- the publisher is finding it difficult to set up distribution in Belize since there are really no bookstores. It should eventually be available in hotel gift shops and in a few other places like Angelus Press. It is available from on-line bookstores such as Amazon.com and Borders.com.

I thought somebody posted something about a bookstore/coffee shop in SP? Now that I reread it, I've got the feeling it was a joke of some sort.

Too bad about your latest book, Lan. It would probably be a great addition locally. I wonder how the SP gift shops get all the BZ tour and history books that they always seem to have.
