Sure a lot of STORIES going around. I have to wonder what's in it for some of these folks?

Unfortunately for John McAfee, his name is a household word.
Any American here is a target, locals all perceive all North Americans as extremely wealthy.
In his case the media has made it a known fact.
I for one, would not like this notoriety.
I think he simply he likes it here and is doing what he has to do in order to stay.
Innocent until proven guilty.
I think the man is just doing what he has to do.
He's helping not bothering anyone.

Sure ARE a lot of stories going around about McAfee.

What is this an old time party line

There are stories going around about virtually everyone.
That's what bored, envious locals do.
Unfortunately for J M, the paparazzi also get involved.
I wish I had a dime for every blatant lie told about me.
You took a cheap shot at me on this or the BZ forum a few years back.
No one is exempt, I've heard silly things about you.
Having lived here for a few years, I ignore all of it.

I hope the stories are not true. However, check out Jeff Wise's tweet at https://twitter.com/ManvBrain/statuses/267796242866778112 a couple of hours ago. Jeff Wise (@ManvBrain) is the writer and Popular Mechanics magazine columnist who a few days ago had the lengthy follow-up piece on McAfee published in Gizmodo. The versions I've heard of what allegedly happened this weekend are somewhat different than what Wise says. But, at the very least, some strange things going on.

Jeff wise has been stalking john mcAfee for years ..writing articles about him in various magazines. I think the more interesting story is why? He appears fascinated or perhaps his ego is bruised that he too was caught in the schemes and scams and then accused by many as being an irresponsible journalist with his exposé
In his latest blog for Psychology Today he uses MacAfee as a poster boy for narcissistic psychopathic behavior. Just because he writes for Psycholgy Today does not make him one...nor does he have the credentials to label nor make a diagnosis .
In his twitter post this evening , he says McAfee was the prime suspect for the murder of his neighbor and is in hiding ..where did he get his information ? And why does it differ from local reports? Is he obsessed? Or just fascinated ? Or has McAfee taken his cops and robbers and gangs drama too far and become Captain Kurtz in the Heart of Darkness ? The topics, heat , tan and 17 year old girls can do that to a man .
