How far north on AC can you go either by bike or on foot? I'd like to do some biking/hiking on the island. I know the roads are sand and biking may not be that easy.

Hi Brian,
You can really hike/bike pretty far north. Most of the men doing construction and working at resorts up north bike to work daily from San Pedro town. I know you CAN go beyond Journeys End for some distance... We walked it but we had to turn back because of a "shoe" problem.
Have a great time.
Maybe someone else can say exactly how much further...

Our house is 4.5 miles North, and Raymond, our caretaker, bikes to town. I see others going by occasionally. I know you can keep going on North past our house for a long while... at least to Mata Chica, which is as far as I have gone, and I'm sure much farther than that.

Anyone who lives there gonna chip in? Tony and Yvonne? Gaz? You all live North.

I think the main drawback to biking is the heat, if you are not used to it. Of course, I saw people jogging on the beach daily, while I lolly-gagged in the pool, and just *walking* very far on the beach during the day was an effort. Take water for sure.
