While growing up in Belize, seems like all we ate was fish. This is just one of the ways that we season and cook the fish. Our Fried Fish does not use any batter, just wonderful spicy seasoning and cooking oil. This fish is crispy and spicy and delicious when served with Belizean Jonnycakes.

Oh my God!! brings back memories of my Grandmother frying fish. Used to love to watch her preparing it even though my siblings thaought it was yucky. Her escovitch fish was always so tasty with her johnny cakes.....a walk down memory lane.

My maternal grandmother was from the island and could she ever cook.
