hi everyone

I have been lurking around for a while (sorry) - and I am finally going to get to take a trip down there! I wanted to go ahead and post because some of yall are cracking me up! I wanted to check and see if any of you fine people need me to bring anythin down with me in mid Jan.

Also - I can't believe the way yall are getting scalped for phone service!! I love to really leave things behind when I vacation - phone, TV, etc. (hell, I don't even get cable at home!) However, I doubt my 3 year old is going to be OK with that. He will want to talk to Mommy at least once during the course of a week! What is my best bet for making that happen?

thanks in advance

Re: Phone call

1) Take a LOT of money and patience.

2) Pre-arrange day and time, then have the munchkin call you. They will generally be very cooperative where ever you are staying. Mucho el cheapo than calling States.

Hideaway Hotel has a phone card machine in there and a phone you can use for this. Don't know about expense? Just an option. They have a little desk where you can sit there and chat. Phone cards are available everywhere, but this was just really convienant. Have a great time and tell the people at Hideaway a big HELLO from Coconut and Pirate!!! One Love!!

Thanks for the suggestions!

rickcheri - yall and Bill crack me up! I would be glad to drink as much coconut rum for you as you would like (he he)! yummy. You can imagine how often I get to sit around drinking at home - taking care of a 3 year old boy by myself doesn't exactly lend itself to the "party life".
