Where do you live? There is a guy who makes coconut water out in front of my place either Monday or Tuesday most weeks. I could hook you up.

You can get some coconuts and open them and drain what is inside. That is all it takes to have fresh coconut water ....

Its hard to imagine!
The south end of the island has very few trees left.
The green ones are what you want to choose for the water. Chop open the top (stem end) with four cuts from your machete(you do have a machete don't you?)point the stem end to the ground(so you don't loose a finger) and wack at an angle four-3 inch chips off the nuts base at the cardinal points.
You can also use the bare-hand method. Take your bare hand, reach into your pocket, pull out a 20 dollar bill and give it to a local to open some for you.

And you can buy coconut water at Maria's fruit stand across from the BYC.

Last time we hacked a bunch of coconuts my son ended up with 4.5 gallons of coconut water.

I had a really hard time finding this post again. It's not at all where I expected it would be.

I wanted to let you know that the guy making the coconut water outside Oasis was here again this morning but he is sold out and gone now. frown

You can always freeze it in usable batches.

That would make great ice cubes for a tropical drink.
