If anyone speaks spanish they should tune into Univision spanish network. They have been giving very informative updates, much better than the weather channel, on the situation in Belize. As of this evening I noted that they now have staff posted in Belize City, which is flooding. The newscasters are showing recent footage of Belize City. The city did not get as much wind as the Islands, but did receive 20 inches of rain & it is continuing.

As a post script I spoke to Ham Radio Chuck in Ladyville & he & his staff are stuck in their offices overnight. They are using generated power & trying to get any updates that are possible. It helps them a lot when we give them information that we have access to here in the USA. Especially, since they only have the internet at their finger tips.

What's their e-mail address? There is a huge amount of info, but scattered throughout so many sites and areas. We'll gladly send them breaking news if you have their e-mail.
Thanks! Jacques

I would greatly appreciate any info as it becomes available about the people of San Pedro Town. The weather channel does not focus on it and gives bare minimum. Have many friends there and I am very worried. Is there somewhere else I can go to get more specific news? I don't speak spanish. Help if you can.

Here in the united states our local
(in L.A.) news channel 9 also posted news about Hurricane Keith in Beliz. It was the first news I have seen reported on it since the hurricane. They showed pictures of Beliz and the floods appeared pretty bad. People were being washed away in the water. I am so skeptical of the media, so I wasn't sure what to believe. Are any of the donations sights being posted on the news in other parts of the country? I think it would be a good way to get others involved. I will be contuing efforts hear in Los Angeles,to bring about the awareness, which will hopefully brings funds to our fellow brothers and sisters.

Thanks,

Salina
