First off I will ask that if I am posting a subject in the wrong place please let me know and I will correct it . I am wondering how we will maneuver around the island . I have used the search option and have been limited to golf cart information . I realize cars are a poor option . Bicycles and walking seem popular but are limited for extensive exploring . With that said golf cart rental appears expensive , especially long term ( over the course of a few months ) are options available for either scooters of motorcycles . What advise can be offered for living a short distance from the town center but still be allowed to move around with some ease ?
Thanks , Chad

Well you can take a taxi ... they are cheap. Ride a bike, walk. Rent a golf cart on just the days that you need one. You can buy a scooter in Belize City but you better have a permit in place before doing so. There are only so many permits available for anything from scooters to golf carts on the island. If you are just staying for two months use all the different options available to you including water taxis and enjoy. It is the only place I have ever lived in my life that I do not have a vehicle and I still get around just fine. Enjoy
