Has anybody who has been to SP lately gone on the Winnie Estelle snorkeling and to Caye Caulker? I would like to do this in early May when I go down. It wasn't running last May for some reason.

The Winnie Estelle was not running snorkel trips over Xmas and New Years. We were told that the owner wanted to do charter trips exclusivly. In the 2 weeks we were on AC it only moved once that we saw. Too bad. Its a great looking boat.

Darn. Does anybody know a good snorkel trip to Caye Caulker? I know the Winnie Estelle used to make one snorkeling stop on the way there and one on the way back, after you have a couple of hours on CC for lunch, explore, etc. I am looking for something like that.

George Eiley and the "Rum Punch II"
Snorkle at Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley then on to Caye Caulker for lunch...then back to San Pedro...while you watch the sunset.

Good all day trip. Old sailboat...with rum punch included! [Linked Image]

Check out the booze cruise catamaran tour with Hustler dive shop that goes to Caye Caulker. Search for Over40pirate's trip report on the board. He's a buddy and shared the video he took. Looked like a wild time with lots of rum punch and belikin.

I just came across your message.
We go down every year and the best
snorkel and sailing is the El Gato
with Geraldo and Justo. He is Very
flexible. The day trip to Caye caulker
is a fun day. We do it for sure every
year. The other neat thing is the sunset
cruise. Geraldo and Justo do the best
job...
His telephone number is 2266
Give him a call when you get there...

When you get to Caye Caulker stop in to see me! I'm across the street from the water taxi ticket office on front street near the main pier.

If you can get a small group together then I'd certainly recommend Winnie Estelle...the boat is beautiful, the captain/owner (Robert Smith) is great company and the price is very reasonable. Call him direct on 2394 when you get here(or whatever the new number will be...try 2262394) ....he can arrange the charter at short notice.
