Not sure if this is the right place to ask.. but we are traveling tomorrow to the Caye District (Chaa Creek) and was wondering if the floods would impact travel from BZE and activities in that area?

Sorry if this is not the correct chat to ask.

River canoeing, river caves (not sure which are open or closed now, ask when you get there). As of today, low wooden bridge is underwater, so take the larger bridge across. Everything else should be fine. Possibly ferry to Xunantunich down due to flooding. Water levels could drop enough to reopen in one or two days, depending on how much more rain we might get

Also, go ahead and read the NEMO Advisory 15 on this site, too. It will give you an idea of the hardest hit areas. You can always contact the folks at Chaa Creek for up to date information.
