We will be arriving AC Sunday the 14th of April. Have already been advised that many businesses will be closed on Sundays on AC. True? Figure it's no big deal if they are as we will probably just want to lay in a hammock and decompress from the trip but sure would not mind a walk down the beach and a visit to one (or two...or three!) of the local libation purveyors.

BankerWoman, I highly recommend sleeping in a little bit on Sunday morning, then make your way to BCs Bar for their BBQ (get there about 11:00am to ensure a stool and food) and then after that delicious meal - head your way up north of the cut and enjoy Palapas for your afternoon libation and entertainment. (The latter you will have to do by bicycle, golf cart or water taxi).

BC's and Palapa bar on Sunday is THE thing to do!!! You won't be sorry!!! (Except maybe on Monday morning!)

10:00am Pier Lounge for Bloody Mary's
11:30am BC's Beach BBQ w/belikin
01:00pm Nap
02:00pm Palapa for some great live music.

Sounds good. Thanks for the "Sunday intinerary". Unfortunately we will not get into AC until mid-late Sunday afternoon, probably 3:30 or later. Will use your suggestions on the following Sunday and am especially looking forward to BC's. I'm expecting that grocery stores and most other shops will be closed on Sunday but will bars be open Sunday night? Anyone have a suggestion for first dinner on the island given our Sunday arrival? Any chance of finding somewhere to sell me a case of Diet Pepsi/Diet Coke on a Sunday? (OK, I admit it, I'm addicted. There --- I've said it! And, of course, it makes the perfect mixer for rum...)

Where are you staying? They might order your case of soda for you, and have it waiting. You could pay upon arrival. Just an idea.

KC - Staying at Caribbean Villas. Guess I could survive one night, though, without my Diet Pepsi... Maybe we'll have to walk down the beach and get one with some run in it.
