There are some huge water filled holes on the southern road between the 3.5 mile marker and Hol Chan Resort Condos. Can you please add some fill (either sand or hard core) to these areas. The holes are getting deeper and almost impassable after a rain. Thank you Town Board members.

I almost flipped my cart yesterday just south of Hol Chan Resort. The holes are due to all the construction trucks that have been using that road. (three houses and a condo complex) Can't they be held somewhat responsible for helping to maintain a decent road?

It's not just the construction trucks, but also the company that dredges down here with the 2 blue trucks. I have asked them to please put some sand in the big holes once the holes dry, since they are the ones taking the resources out of our neighborhood and not being responsible for helping our neighborhood have passible roads. They have been dredging for 2 years. I wonder how long their permit is good for and how much sand are they allowed to take out of the lagoon before it causes enviromental damage?

Not just south , the town needs a better solution to our roads already.
The road used to get to Bowen and Bowen is now and is always a mess during rainy season.regular folks can't get thru due to the deep ruts.
The town had layed hard core once, but the use of semi trucks by Caribbean depot and tractors by Bowen and Bowen is not helping.
We need a more permanent solution to some of the roads...
Understand Mr. Bowen wanted to pave that road at one time but was not allowed ....

Mike S, they have been dredging over 5 years, not 2.

The north is no different. It took over a half an hour to go one mile.

A sad analagy, Collyk. (This movie extract has been subtitled countless other times and in a lot funnier manner too).

This rubbish political ad. unintentionally helps the Belize City mayor (assuming the majority who see it have any brains) ...by the ad's own admission he's been working on the street re-hab for only 2 years, he's already paved 100 streets with concrete. That's a remarkable rate of progress. He probably knows 2 years is nothing in terms of paving the biggest urban area in Belize, it'll take a lot longer than that.

He's made himself hugely unpopular on property tax collections because he actually collects them. He's unpopular with the UDP establishment in Belmopan because he's perceived as a threat to the old corrupt guard.

Belize City is seeing substantial improvements. Mayor Bradley is a brave man working hard to improve what is, let's face it, a pretty dire part of Belize.

I wish he was in charge in San Pedro. Better still, I wish Mayor Danny would emulate him.

I'm too old to run for Mayor. At my age I need to be prime minister.
