Honey Buns were a staple for me when growing up in Belize in the 1970's. Throughout the years, the recipe has changed so much that it's hardly recognizable now. Joe helped me figure out the recipe to make a the Honey Buns of the past. These buns are moist and sweet and very delicious like I remember.
Belizean Honey Bun
As a child growing in Belize Honey Buns were a staple every day. Joe and I tried for a long time to decipher the recipe because no one wanted to share it with us. We took a sample apart and tasted and tested until we replicated the recipe. These buns are sweet, sticky and dense. Once you have one you'll want more.
