Caye Caulker Police crack down on sale, distribution and use of illegal drugs

Caye Caulker Police have been cracking down on the sale, distribution and use of illegal drugs on the island. And their diligence and increased patrols have been paying dividends. On Sunday, Police were on routine patrol along the beach front, when they conducted a search on an individual later identified as Belizean chef Lindburgh Williams. Inside his cargo pants authorities discovered a zip lock plastic bag with white powder suspected to be cocaine. The thirty year old island resident was escorted to the Police Station where he was formally arrested and charged for possession of controlled drugs. And on Wednesday at about four am, another search on a man identified as thirty-eight year old Tito Rosado led to the discovery of a crack pipe hidden in his pants. Rosado was detained, formally arrested and charged for possession of a pipe. Both men were taken to San Pedro to be arraigned in San Pedro Magistrate Court.

This is hilarious. They busted two guys in the round up, including TJ?

TJ had a. crack pipe in his hand in my yard last time I saw him. He robbed my house the next day. When I reported it they asked why bother? They had twenty other reports on file already about him.
When I went out the station he was sitting down the street chilling out and he greeted me.

I agree, so many robberies here, some have been caught on video and identified suspects with no doubts, yet to date they still thieve and roam the streets no charges, Police need to pay more attention to this. No doubt the drug charges will not stick as I am sure they did illegal searches of the persons.

Caye Caulker Police Continue Drug Crackdown

Caye Caulker police continue to clamp down on drug pushers. Yesterday, 30 year old Hubert Palacio was arrested and charged for (2) Counts of Possession of Controlled Drugs and Possession of Pipe after police took him off his bike and found cannabis, a pipe and crack cocaine. It weighed in at a negligible 2 grams of cannabis and 0.6 grams of crack but he was charged for 2 Counts of Possession of Controlled Drugs and Possession of Pipe.

And this morning at around 5:30am, Caye Caulker police conducted an Anti-Drug Operation on the island which took them to the residence of 37 year old Shawn Bennett on Traveler's Palm Street in Caye Caulker Village. They found a black plastic bag with 66.9 grams of cannabis. They were formally arrested and charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking and will be escorted to San Pedro Magistrate Court on Friday January 17th for arraignment.
