The speeds people are driving on the graded stretch north of the bridge now is just completely ridiculous and out-of-control! You're on an ISLAND people. An island that gets its major income from tourism. Tourists are scared to walk or ride their bikes on the road now. Tourists are sick of being gagged by the dust the unnecessary speeds are producing. Speeds are well in excess of 30mph, and it is clear, there are some vehicles that are going in excess of 50mph. As one pictures shows of a phone covered in cob webs, "If you stop answering, they'll stop calling". That is clearly going to begin to apply here. Isn't it enough to just go the speed limit, and get there comfortably without all the pot holes and enjoy the ride. Is it going to take someone getting hurt before anything is done. Why don't we adopt Caye Caulker's motto...go slow. There's a lot more enjoyment to life that way. If you want to drive fast, go to Europe and drive on the autobahn. If you want to live fast, move to the US. The smooth road is a huge bonus. The speeds are a huge nightmare (AND safety concern!).
