From Belmopan... 07:45 BZT

Despite there being a cold front being drawn on the satellite picture, I am not seeing much significance from it.

The Pacific SW prevailing wind does appear to be dominant over any Caribbean wind this morning. .. .Which should mean warm, dry conditions.

There were a few isolated rain showers showing up on the Radar this morning way down south and just a very few up north in Mexico.

But I am not expecting any significant rain today. . .With SW winds, I do not expect the typical cloud build up so much today.

Sunny, hot weather continues across Belize

Warm and mostly dry conditions are dominating factors in our weather heading into the second half of the week.

The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for sunny skies this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Tonight will be cloudy at times.

Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be easterly to southeasterly at five to fifteen knots.

The sea state will be light chop to choppy. High temperatures this afternoon will be around 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 74 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.

Low temperatures at dawn will be around seventy three degrees Fahrenheit along coastal areas; 68 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a cool 63 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

The tides: there will be a low tide at 7:30 pm. This will be followed by a high tide at 1:30 am on Thursday.

The sun will set at 6 o'clock this evening. It will rise again at 8 minutes past 6 o'clock tomorrow morning. The extended forecast valid through to Friday afternoon is for cloudy skies with cool conditions.

Showers and thunderstorms are accompanying an approaching cold front.

And that is a look at the weather, with information provided by forecaster Frank Tench, Junior at the Belize Weather Bureau.
