Belize Weather Forecast: March 14, 2014

General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: A dissipating frontal boundary is supporting moist conditions over the country but weather conditions will improve starting tonight.
Advisories: **Small craft caution tonight for locally rough seas near heavy showers **
24-hour forecast: Cloudy with a few showers, isolated and periods of rain developing mainly along coastal and northern areas tonight and tomorrow, then a gradual decrease in showers thru Friday.
Winds: East - northeast at 5-15 knots with higher gusts near the heavier showers.
Marine Forecast:
Today: Winds: East-northeast 5-15 kt. With occnl higher gusts; seas: Choppy- moderate but locally rough at times; waves: 3-6 ft.; a few showers and some periods of rain (mainly central and north).
Tomorrow: Winds: East-southeast 5-15 kt.; seas: Choppy - moderate.; waves: 3-5 ft.; isolated showers.
Marine Outlook: Saturday night:- winds: E-se 10-20 kt.; seas: Moderate.; waves: 4-6 ft.; mainly fair.

General Outlook: For Saturday and Saturday night is for a return to mainly fair and dry weather.

blat B	Damn, my daughter has been on the mainland all week with a group of Dr's doing inoculations, etc and today they took a day off and were going to Caye Caulker.

OP Marty	From Belmopan... 6:45 BZT Belmopan had 5.6mm ( 1/4" ) rain last night. . . More rain coming through, but moving in from the ENE. A very confused air movements this morning. . . . The surface Wind on Belmopan is from the SW. ... .But the rain, only drizzle in Belmopan right now, is from the ENE. .. . There is high level ITCZ from Brazil moving rapidly northwards way above us. .. . .The winds in the Gulf of Mexico are all over the place. I suspect this rain, mainly over northern Belize, will ease of as the day warms. . ..Probably remaining cloudy for much of the day, a little sun occasionally. But the Ground really needed this bit of rain.
