My fiance and I are coming to AC for 8 days - we were thinking of adding 2 days at the beginning and staying inland. Is 2 days worth it? Any recommendations on where to stay? Thanks

Well I have been to AC before and love it - but never stayed inland. I went to Altun Ha - but that is about it. So we are curious to check it out and see the jungle side.

Our budget would be moderate ($75 night?) as most of our money will be spend on AC since we are getting married/honeymooning.

Yep! Night time jungle safari was very interesting. It is a craps shoot though. You may or may not see anything - but I will tell you that it was worth it to see the jungle in the pitch black of night. We only saw a few samll things, mostly spiders and bats. But very very cool. Great place that Caves Branch - I'd say do it!!!!!

2 days insn't enuff. change it to 3, and check into cayo. this trip, shooting for the monkey preserve, butterfly farm, zoo, canoe thru barton's creek cave, el pilar ruins, 5 sisters falls, botanical gardens, and maxim's chinese food in san ignacio. "best fried rice ever". all squeezed into 3 days.

i will be there in 24 hours.

bye all!
