General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Moist and unstable conditions dominate our weather.
Advisories: **Small craft caution in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas**
24-hour forecast: Cloudy to overcast skies with some showers a few thunderstorms and periods of rain across the country, but more so over the north and along the coast.
Winds: East - southeast 10-20 knots with occasional higher gusts.

Marty OP	From Diane this morning… Mata Grande - 5:08 AM - after a bit of light thunder and lightening earlier in the pre-dawn, the "storm" is poised to hit any moment. Winds from southeast, spitting rain, flashes of lightening and rumbles in the sky. Although there is no planned outage for BEL today (perhaps wisely due to impending storm), I'd expect some interruptions anyway as a result of the weather.

Marty OP	From Belmopan... 09:30 BZT I am declaring, that, as of the 30 May 2014, we are now in the Rainy Season. This does not quite fit in with the " One criterion for the onset of the rainy season is two consecutive days of rainfall accumulation of 30 mm or more, and four of the following seven days are rain days of 1 mm rainfall or more. ". . . . .But that is just One of the criterion. The Weather pattern all over Central American, Guatamala, southern Mexico and Belize are very definitely the Rainy Season type, and has been for several days. . .. ..And, although I have only recorded 25mm ( 1" ) over the 30 & 31 May almost none last night in northern Belmopan, the rain level has not meet the above, to qualify, there have been several bands of serious rain crossing over Belize, over the last 3 days and I feel sure, many parts of Belize have been well over the 30mm ( 1¼" ). . . .. . It is also quite normal to have lulls and sunny days during the Rainy Season. The Radar was off line between 02:30 & 08:45, so not sure how that rain crossed up Belize.. . . But there are still patches of scattered rain in parts of Belize, and probably for much of the day.. . . .It was a largish ITCZ activity, that crossed over Belize last night. . .. We might see some sun, but not much if any.

Diane Campbell	Despite dire weather predictions, it was a generally soft and pretty day on AC, with periods of blue sky (and sun) peeking through beautifully dark, then fluffy gray skies with occasional rain & gentle thunder. Cool evening breeze and perfect temps. A few mossies hatched today - onset of summer.
