Ok, I know it's coming into the rainy season and all, but every damn day was nice when I was checking the weather before except for next week when we are going to be there! Every day is saying 1/4 of an inch etc. Is this a lot? Does this typically show itself as one of those 'one hour rains' or are we going to be soaked our whole stay?

those long range forecasts are bogus.
check for other countries in central america, i bet they all say the same. sometimes they just default to one forecast way down the road due to lack of data.

I now refuse to look at weather.com...I will just pray and hope...that all will be more dry than not. For a solid 2 months nothing but sun and now all clouds and rain...has to be crap and the weather probably changes every hour down there...

LOL! My experience with rain in Belize is that it can rain 1/4" in about 5 minutes!

I sure hope so. I looked at the radar for the caribean which shows the area and there aren't many clouds around... I can't imagine that a ton of clouds are going to blow in come my arrival on Friday... Is 1/4 inch of rain a lot anyhow? Maybe they just put rain in the forcast to show that at SOME POINT it may rain in the day, but it'll only last a few minutes [Linked Image]

Hi there

A quarter of an inch is nothing when you consider when it rains here its torrential rain, while its not nice for visitors to have a rainy week there are many here on theisland that are praying for rain, its been a long dry season and the plants and trees not to mention the wells and cisterns need replenishing.

Lets hope we get short sharp heavy downpours that last an hour or so and then the sun shines again that way we can all be happy.

I am sure your trip will be fine

Have fun

I've got high hopes that since the Chinese Circus is here in San Pedro, that the skys will open up with juice. I might even wash my Purple Steed! That should work!!
