Dear Readers ---- about the small craft warning - please remember that a kayak is a small craft and you should not take one out for a paddle today regardless of your level of fitness or boredom. Go for a walk, ride a bike, take a tour of the back side of the island, take a class at Zen arcade, read a book --- soak up the view ...... see what life is like in the slow lane. You may like it!!

good advice. If they hang on for just a couple more days, the Otters will be in town and we are always blessed with fabulous weather -- Thursday afternoon through Tuesday should be spectacular-- I'm calling it right now.
I will have a Belikin -- put it on klcman's tab.

On Ambergris Caye this morning the wind is blowing from the ESE at 20 mph. The sea is rough and we have an Advisorie: **Small craft caution in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas** Still no rain. The wind kickin up the reef puts a salt film on the island that a nice fresh water rain would cure.

From Belmopan... 08:00 BZT
A band of rain moving over Belize from the South, has passed Belmopan and presently over Orange Walk, heading towards Corozal later.
No rain on the Radar behind that band, but the air is unstable and that could change later.....That Band probably crossed Corozal now, the Radar stuck on 3am. .. A brisk East wind already and some sone showing through the cloud.

For those of you in Central America, Guatemala, Belize, the Yucatan Peninsula and western Cuba, please be advised that heavy rainfall with flash flooding and mudslides will continue to be a significant threat throughout the rest of this week due to the surge of moisture that will continue streaming northward across this entire area. Question: Don't you need mud in order to have a mud slide? In the past I've had some sand slides at my place. Seriously - no rain to fill the cisterns?
