I do NOT mean to come off sounding rude but im mad as heck right now. I am an animal lover. Period BUT a neighbor woman who lives across from me has a large dog that is NASTY. She wont leash it. This dog when im coming out my front door charged across at me and my little dog who is always on a leash. It took me screaming at her and the dog to get the dog tonstop before i got bit. During this time she stood doing NOTHING. I told her to call her dog off. Again she did nothing and said nothing WTH? Now anytime i go out my front door if her dog is out he starts walking towards me and i quickly go back inside. Im now using a different door to go out with my dog which is horrible inconvient. Security told me she never leashes her dog and the dog has charged them as well amd is ill tempered. Again today i got home got off my cart with my lil guy and her dog sees me, head goes down like im prey and again shes not " seeing" a thing. I couldnt get my keys fast enough and NO im not afraid of dogs believe me. This one is unstable.
Indont care to be bitten my dog bitten or my daughter bitten . So before i go out MY front door i have to check tonsee if its ok to do so in case that rotten animal is outside. And NO im not going to her house to talk to her indont want to be dinner. IDEAS PLEASE???

Saga Humane society can help with this problem. They can go and talk to her and explain the laws. Then if that doesn't make a difference then a police complaint will be the next step.

Sorry you are enduring this issue. Dogs on the loose are a sore spot with almost every neighbourhood on this island.

Pepper spray will be your best friend. A few tastes of it and the dog will run from you when it sees you. Use it as a last resort but it does work well. I hate punishing a dog for an irresponsible owner. But you do have to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Why don't you get a hand-held stun gun? I have 3 of them (different sizes and strengths) that I bought in the states for protection from people and dogs when I walk on the beach. They are inexpensive, work well, and don't kill anyone/anything.
I am not a bleeding-heart liberal that would let some crazy dog put me in a position where I am a prisoner to it's bad behavior. One or two blasts should teach it some manners.

Captain Sharks but they are prohibited weapons according to the changes in the weapons act. In other words don't go flashing them in public or using without being able to prove you were in imminent danger (even then you will likely be arrested while things get sorted out).

Are you kidding? For pepper spray? Good grief ill take a pass on that one and stick to Saga i think. Im hoping the conversation staff has with her tomorrow helps. A few other neighbors are not happy either.

But wait... Pepper spray can me made with natural ingrdients and placed in a water soray bottle. Is that illegal?
