Robert that is the same way transactions are done here. Buyer brings Cash Seller brings the title. At that point the paperwork is filed and in general you will have the new title in your name within 10 weeks or so.
I don't know what a PM is but here is my email address. firstname.lastname@example.org and my phone number 763 767 4480 weekdays I am pretty sure the new owners are trying to steal back the timeshares by preventing us from paying our maintenance fees. I have no idea where to send the payment now that there is no published phone numbers, no website, no email addresses. All the phone numbers changed and who-ever is in control hasn't told any one what the new numbers are. The name has changed and the people in control haven't told any one who the check or CC should be sent to or who it should be written to. There is a clause that if the maintenance fees are not paid by Feb 15 they can steal the timeshares back. I am coming down there to hire an attorney to represent the timeshare owners.
That is one of my questions as well, about the pool ... and now that the restaurant is closed, especially during the busy season, it doesn't look good. We are coming down in June and I hope that things are settled by then....
I too am/was a timeshare owner. I stopped all payments to Reef Village in 2012 and requested a refund of all monies paid in due to the fact the timeshare building and unit my contract is issued for do not exist. We were promised completion of the timeshare building and after two visits the building is still a concrete shell. The shenanigans with maintenance fees were ridiculous. No response was ever made to my requests for refund or facility updates in any way.
Was wondering if anyone has heard any more about this, I too am a timeshare holder and am having trouble getting hold of anyone.PM ed Tropicguy but no answer yet. Carla was on vacation last time I checked, I will call down to the Barrier Reef Resort Wednesday. Will post if I find out anything.
