Jesse Cope of San Pedro Daily Passes Away

Ambergris Today, along with the community of Ambergris Caye, is saddened to share the news of the passing of Jesse Cope, who ran the San Pedro Daily website. Posts on message boards indicate that he fell ill earlier this week and was admitted to Belize Healthcare Partners in the city where he succumbed to his illness yesterday evening, Tuesday, July 22, 2014.

Friends and family indicate that Jesse was well cared for during his last days and passed away peacefully without any pain. His family has been notified and is in touch with Dr. Lerida Rodriguez and will be making arrangements with her as to the final preparations.

Jesse Cope was a well-known and liked expat living in Ambergris Caye and most people got to know him though the San Pedro Daily website which he managed and gathered news posts from around the country. He will be missed dearly; may he rest in peace.

Met Jesse some time ago. Rest in peace.

Have known Jesse for a very long time and have enjoyed reading what he wrote and contributed to those online as well.
Will miss him around the Crazy Cunuck Bar as that is where I would see him mostly.

Memorial for Jesse Cope

The Memorial for Jesse Cope will take place at Corona Del Mar, or Coconuts bar on Tuesday, August 19th, from 5pm until 7pm. Mike, Jesse's son, has had his hands full, as you can imagine, but now he can breathe a little and concentrate on celebrating his father's life and his friends in a public memorial.
