Mostly fair weather and warm temperatures heading into the weekend
Moist and unstable conditions are currently influencing our weather heading into the weekend.
The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for partly cloudy skies tonight. On Saturday, skies will be sunny with cloudy periods.
A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will occur over southern coastal areas tonight and tomorrow morning.
Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be easterly to north-easterly at 5 to 15 knots.
The sea state will be choppy.
Low temperatures tonight will range from 75 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 70 degrees Fahrenheit inland.
It will be a cool 68 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.
High temperatures on Saturday will be around 90 degrees Fahrenheit along coastal areas; 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a warm 81 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
The tides: there will be a high tide at 9:14 pm today. A low tide will occur at 2:14 am on Saturday.
The sun set is at 6:14 pm today. Sunrise is at 5:37 am on Saturday.
The extended forecast, valid through to Sunday afternoon is for partly cloudy skies with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms occurring mostly inland.
