Scattered showers have been coming in over night, mainly over central and north areas, but have largely died out, but now there is a much heavier and more continuous band of rain moving in from the Caribbean, that will reach central and particularly northern parts of Belize later this afternoon.
This is due to a massive ITCZ swelling up, first a collapse of the ITCZ further East, resulting in a strong secondary swelling up, just of the coast of Belize.. . .. .This is, in part, being caused by a strong Caribbean surface winds from the SE, but with cooler air moving in from the North.. . .Two classing air masses can cause thunder storms.
