From Belmopan... 08:30 BZT
There has been scattered showers over much of the southern half of Belize over night, but those are now clearing up.
There was a very large ITCZ swell up over Nicaragua last night, that is collapsing now, but it could bring rain later tonight or tomorrow.
It could even develop into a TS, so i am watching it. . ..Tropical Storms can develop by our back door, but usually only later in the season.
This small but intense hurricane is just not going anywhere quickly. . . .It started of as that LOW over Belize bringing that rain last week, it combined with weather in the Gulf, that had moved down from Texas, then moved over land to the Pacific and developed into Hurricane Norbert

From Belmopan... Noon BZT
That collapsing ITCZ area near Honduras, is sending out patches towards Belize, getting caught up in our regularly Easterly wind from the Caribbean, this air flow is now clashing with some Northerly winds, perhaps outpourings from that hurricane.
The net result is that there are scattered showers developing again, across Belize, often with Thunderstorms.
There is also more rain spreading in from the Caribbean, which will get to us by this afternoon, mainly effecting central and north Belize, but could result in showers in any part of Belize this afternoon.

Diane - you and Elbert and town core get a lot more rain than those of us in Tres Cocos - and we really need it. I sit on my deck and watch it come down north and south of us and only sprinkle here.
