The Lionfish plague has created a new industry. This is the latest gadget and It seems very piratical. A safe way to get the lion fish off your spear and keep it contained safely as well.
Lionfish sting even after death and carrying them around during the dive in a mesh bag can get you stung.

The cone in the mouth of the gadget removes the Lionfish when you retract your spear.

Don't need to buy an expensive one. Can easily make your own. Get an empty plastic bucket with a spinning seal lid and a handle. Slice the lid as you would a pizza, only not all the way to outer edge. To use push fish into bucket with spear. Once through, fish will remain in bucket as spear is extracted from bucket lid.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?
