Belize Weather Forecast: October 25, 2014

General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Cold front affecting the country supports windy and cool conditions with some residual moisture over the south.
Advisories: *Small craft caution for gusty winds and rough seas*
24-hour forecast: Variably cloudy, windy and cool with a few showers or periods of rain mostly over the south and along some coastal areas. Cloudy skies tonight and cloudy with sunny periods tomorrow; a few showers, isolated thunderstorms and periods of rain will occur mainly in the south and coast tonight and tomorrow. A few showers will continue over the sea and southern coastal areas Saturday evening.
Winds: North - northwest 10-20 knots with occasional higher gusts.
Marine Forecast:
Today: Winds: N-NW 10-20 kts. With higher gusts.; seas: Moderate - rough.; waves: 4-7 ft.; a few showers or periods of rain.
Tomorrow: Winds: N-NW 10-20 kts.; seas: Moderate.; waves: 4-6 ft,; little or no rainfall.
Marine Outlook: Sunday night:- Winds: North 10-20 kts.; seas: Moderate.; waves: 4-6 ft.; little or no rainfall.

General Outlook: For Sunday and Sunday night is for mainly fair and cool conditions with little or no rainfall.

Tropical Weather Outlook: A broad area of low pressure, the remnants of TD #9 over the extreme western Caribbean Sea is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Any re-development will be slow to occur as the system drifts eastward or meanders during the next few days.

elbert	On Ambergris Caye this morning we have some blue sky in the North and the wind is blowing from the back of the island so maybe we have seen the end of the gloom. The expected high is 82. Winds plowing out to sea are worth of caution to Ambergris boaters. We have a NNW at 14mph that will put you in trouble on the reef quickly if your motor fails. remembering where your anchor is and making sure it's ready and with rope in good condition is smart. OP Marty	From Belmopan... 08:30 BZT There is massive amount of Rain around, but most of it is off shore and going due South into Honduras, only a small amount has and is crossing down Belize. . . .. .That cool air pushing down from the US, over the last week or two, causing all the rain and confusing the weather people Looks like we will have cooler air moving down over Belize today, but that will probably make today an Overcast day, with just occasional sun... .Looks like the rain is moving down away from Belize for at least most of today. . . But when the warmer wet air pushes back, there could be rain. . . I don't know when that might happen, this evening, or tomorrow. 11:30pm There is a very little rain around, mainly out in the sea. . . .Could be the odd shower, but unlikely much. So tomorrow might start of Foggy in some parts. . .Probably a fair bit of cloud tomorrow and a fair bit of sunshine in parts.
