Love FM Christmas Parade 2014 (93 photos)
On Sunday, December 14, Love FM Radio organized its annual Christmas Parade in San Pedro which has been getting bigger and bigger. The streets were filled with anxious spectators awaiting the parade.
The parade included the participation of local businesses such as Foreva Fancy, Top Notch and Wings, schools and other organizations. The highlight of the parade was the Benque Viejo Marching Band which consisted of over 30 members. The people lined up on the streets cheered and danced as they played familiar christmas songs.
The parade started from Boca del Rio and ended on Buccaneer Street.
Love FM’s Christmas Parade Becomes a San Pedro Tradition
The Love FM Christmas Parade has become one of the highlights of the Holiday season in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize, as hundreds of residents gather street-side, on Sunday, December 14, 2014, to witness the lively parade that brightens up the town with colors and sounds.
This year’s parade did not fail to impress as it was once again full of the spirit of the season. Local businesses joined together with the national radio station Love FM to bring a parade that celebrates the island spirit of Christmas.
Miss San Pedro 2014 Michelle Nuñez and Santa Claus were Grand Marshals of the parade followed by floats from Wings Department Store, Isla Bonita Elementary School, Foreva Fancy Boutique, the Belize Tourism Board (Belize Rural Development Project), Coral Cable Vision, Hummingbird and Furnishings, Belize National Library Service, ABC Pre School, San Pedro Lion’s and Leos Club and the Benque Viejo Marching Band.

Love FM Christmas Parade ushers in holiday season
The fourth annual Love FM Christmas parade brought color, music and joy to San Pedro on Sunday, December 14th. This year’s parade was even bigger and better, with more brightly lit floats and sparkling golf carts. Residents flocked the streets on the parade routes from early to get a prime viewing spot of the gaily decorated lineup.
The parade started shortly before 7PM from the Boca del Rio Park and made its way to Buccaneer Street. With Christmas carols jamming away, spectators cheered as the floats passed on by. In the spirit of giving, several establishments shared treats with the children, and they even had a chance to take a picture with the beloved characters of Disney’s Frozen: Princess Anna, Queen Elsa, Kristoff, Prince Hans and Olaf. The highlight of the parade was the Benque Viejo Marching Band, who delighted the crowds with their amazing renditions of Christmas songs with their full ensemble of horns, drums and dancers.
