From Belmopan...
The cold front moving in over the Yucatan from the NW has been pushing the warmer wet air upwards, causing overnight rain.
In North Belmopan only had 2.6mm ( 0.1" ) or light rain, but more could come. ... .There is broken low cloud and high cloud around and also some blue sky showing through this morning.. . . .The Radar is still not working, so I do not kn ow how widespread the rain has been, but I suspect much of Belize, particularly the north.. . . . .It does not look as if the cold front is moving much towards us. ...It caused a large area flare up over northern Belize, so i expect that produced a fair amount of rain and may well still be raining up north. . . .There was a smaller pocket down south, but that has evaporated away now. . ..
I am expecting a rather mixed day. . . .Mainly cloud, some heavy, giving patches of rain from time to time, probably getting less as the day warms up, with the occasional sun patches showing through.
They have not redrawn that cold front line since last night.
