Regarding the radar, this from Dennis Gonguez:

The necessary part is already on shipment to Belize. I do believe it will be a couple weeks time before the radar is up and running again.

From Belmopan...

Basically sea fog developed last night, due to the earlier clear skies, which has now been blown in over most of Belize, particularly the north and central Belize. . ..This type of fog will become elevated, so it looks like a blanket of Cloud with clear air below.. . . . There is still high level Pacific air streaming all over Central America, including central and southern Mexico. .. .So this also influences the weather, even though it is at high level, but presently. not producing any significant cloud... .. The Cold front is now nearer, but only having a small effect at present.

I expect this cloud cover to start thinning as the day warms up, so we should be seeing sun later, but I don't see rain in this, unless things change this afternoon. ... It is possible for that cold air to cause rain later, if it gets much closer.

Since the radar is down maybe the guys in Belmopan should just call us out in San Pedro to see if it is raining.

From Belmopan...

The cold front is pushing rapidly across the Yucatan right now. ... ( Orange dashed line ). .. . . .Forming cloud that is conflicting with the Caribbean NE wind, which is now swirling round clockwise after it leaves the Belize west border.. . .. .This has been causing even more cloud to build up along the Yucatan Caribbean shore, keeping cloud coming over Belize and not thinning as expected earlier.

We may still see some patches of sun, I have seen some blue sky, but the cloud could get thicker later and even some rain, perhaps along coastal regions this evening, effecting northern Belize before southern Belize.
